The “Education 2.9 Conference: Next Step in e-Learning Revolution”, staged by the e-Learning Consortium (eLC), took place at Cyberport on February 23, 2013. Over 200 education sector representatives attended, with Secretary for Education, Eddie Ng Hak-kim, SBS, JP, acting as officiating guest. Also present to share views on e-learning were She Mang, Chief Curriculum Development Officer (IT in Education); the Hon Charles Mok, Legislative Councillor (Information Technology); the Hon Ip Kin-yuen, Legislative Councillor (Education Constituency); the Hon Cheung Kwok-che, Legislative Councillor (Social Welfare) plus many teachers, as well as education practitioners.
Allen Wong, Product Development and Management SVP, Consumer Group, HKT Education Limited, was joined by Li Chi Shing and two Primary 5 students from Po Leung Kuk Chee Jing Yin Primary School to demonstrate HKT education eLearning Solutions, the interactive design and functionality of which drew wide acclaim. The event also included a successful onsite mathematics class.
